The speed of the cooling fan refers to the number of times the fan blades rotate per minute, and the unit is rpm. The fan speed is determined by the number of turns of the coil in the motor, the working voltage, the number of fan blades, the inclination angle, the height, the diameter and the bearing system. The speed of the microfan is not necessarily related to the quality. The speed of the fan can be measured by the internal speed signal, and it can also be measured by the external stop.
With changes in application conditions and ambient temperature, fans with different speeds are sometimes required to meet the demand. Some manufacturers have deliberately designed cooling fans with adjustable fan speed, which are divided into manual and automatic. The main purpose of manual is to allow users to use low speeds to achieve low noise in winter, and to use high speeds to achieve good heat dissipation in summer. Automatic temperature control radiators usually have a temperature control sensor, which can automatically control the fan speed according to the current working temperature. The higher the temperature, the higher the speed, and the lower the temperature, the lower the speed, so as to achieve a dynamic equilibrium, thereby allowing wind noise. Adhere to an optimal separation point with the heat dissipation effect.
In addition to the heat dissipation effect of fan noise, fan noise is also a common concern. Fan noise is the size of the noise generated by the fan when it is working, which is affected by many factors, and the unit is decibels (dB). When measuring the noise of the fan, it is necessary to stop in an anechoic room with a noise of less than 17dB, space the fan one meter apart, and align the fan's air inlet along the direction of the fan shaft, and stop the measurement using an A-weighted method. The spectral characteristics of fan noise are also very important. Therefore, a spectrum analyzer is required to record the fan's noise frequency distribution. Generally, the fan's noise should be as small as possible and there should be no abnormal noise.
Fan noise is related to friction and air movement. The higher the fan speed and the greater the air volume, the greater the noise generated, and the vibration of the fan itself is also an element that cannot be ignored. Of course, the vibration of a high-quality fan will be very small, but the first two are difficult to restrain. To deal with this problem, we can try to use a larger fan. Under the condition of the same air volume, the working noise of a large fan at a lower speed should be smaller than that of a small fan at a high speed.
