In practical applications, the nominal high air volume value is not the air supply volume obtained by the actual heat sink, and a large air volume does not mean that the ventilation capacity is strong. When the air flows, the airflow will encounter the obstruction of the cooling fins in its flow path, and its impedance will restrict the free circulation of the air. That is, when the air volume increases, the air pressure decreases. Therefore, there must be a good operating point, that is, the intersection of the fan performance curve and the wind resistance curve. At the operating point, the slope of the fan characteristic curve is small, and the change rate of the system characteristic curve is low.

Inside the fan blade of the DC fan, a rubber magnet pre-filled with magnetism is attached. Surrounding the silicon steel sheet, the shaft is wound with two sets of coils, and the Hall induction component is used as a synchronous detection device to control a set of circuits, which make the two sets of coils wound around the shaft work in turn. The silicon steel sheet produces different magnetic poles, and the magnetic poles and the rubber magnets produce attraction and repulsion. When the repulsive force is greater than the static friction force of the fan, the fan blades rotate naturally. Since the Hall sensing element provides a synchronizing signal, the fan blade can continue to run, and its running direction can be determined according to Fleming's right-hand rule.

And how does the air volume associated with the DC fan come from? Air volume refers to the product of the fan ventilation area and the plane speed of the area. The ventilation area is the outlet area minus the projected area at the vortex tongue. Plane velocity is the velocity of the gas moving through the entire plane, measured in meters per second. When the plane speed is constant, the larger the outer diameter of the fan impeller, the larger the ventilation area and the larger the air volume. The greater the air volume, the greater the heat absorbed by the cold air, the more heat can be taken away when the air moves and the more obvious the heat dissipation effect is.
